Starting on the East side of San Jose, the first thing we will see is Democracy Place and the National Museum, the Courts, Los Yoses, San Pedro Mall, Hispanidad Fountain and the Rodrigo Facio Campus in the University of Costa Rica.
We take the Pan-American Highway towards the city of Alajuela. In route we will go to visit the Agriculture Monument, the Monument to Juan Santamaria and the famous Mango Park. As we ascend towards the volcano we will stop for a brief explanation on our golden bean the coffee, and then continue our trip through fern, flower and strawberry farms.
We take the Panamerican Highway South, to start ascending the large “Iztaru”. The winding road travels through fertile lands cultivated with all kinds of vegetables as we observe a lovely panoramic view. On the top of the volcano you can observe the main craters and on a clear day both Atlantic and Pacific Oceans can be seen.
Located in the north of Costa Rica, the impressive Arenal Volcano is a natural phenomenon that attracts thousands and thousands of tourists due to its permanent, extraordinary and trusted volcanic activity, which on clear nights it seems like fireworks with intermittent explosions of ash and lava.
We will admire the panoramic views from the Central Valley Mountains at nightfall. A delicious Costa Rican buffet dinner will be served, while enjoying a traditional masquerade with typical dances and famous marimba music.
Definitely an adventure you can’t miss. We depart the city towards the mountains that surround the Central Valley, with a scenery of spectacular vegetation and extensive coffee plantations, ornamental plants and picturesque typical towns of Costa Rica.
Inside Tortuguero National Park we will enter the amazing Palma canal where we will enjoy one more time the gifts of mother nature. Our journey continues with the visit to the Caribbean Conservation Corporation for the sea turtles (C.C.C.).
No visit to Costa Rica is complete without going to internationally famous Tortuga Island. The day starts at your hotel, where you will be picked up by an air-conditioned bus, and a bilingual guide. The bus ride takes you to Puntarenas, making a stop to take a typical Costa Rican breakfast.
Pacuare is considered the most beautiful River in Costa Rica and globally as one of the best to practice Rafting, it has large waterfalls, scenic beauties, trails and rich diversity of flora and fauna. Here the varying levels of difficulty are reached up to class IV.
